Arriving end of March 2021
I am delighted to find this wonderful small family venture making some great wines at every price point.
Truter Family Wines, is a family business with Hugo and Celeste Truter at the wheel with a combined 30 years of experience in the wine industry. Truter Family Wines has now been up and running for over 12 years and produces the award winning Agaat blends. Agaat is a name they stumbled upon while searching for the perfect name for their ‘baby’, but it turned out Celeste was expecting twin boys. A beautiful backstory for a beautiful wine.

This is ground breaking and absolutely stunning white Grenache.
The wine comes from a single vineyard in Piekenierskloof, it is beautifully crafted with etherial qualities! .
You will find that this wine has aromatic notes of citrus zest, raw coconut, and a touch of spice greet you at first and follow through with racy, natural acidity.
Thinking of how to relish this wine? Our Blokhuis Grenache Blanc is ready to be enjoyed right now but will gain in complexity with aging. It is particularly well complemented by richly spiced dishes like Chicken Satay, Moroccan Tagine or medium-hard nutty cheeses such as Emmentaler and Gruyère.
